• What items do you buy outright?
We buy select handbags and accessories from top designers. Currently we are looking for classic styles from Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada and Hermes, and also purchase trendy styles from Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and more. Submit a quote to find out if we would purchase your item!
• When do I get paid for item(s) I sell?
Once we receive an item, we require 1-2 business days to authenticate and appraise it. We will make you an offer and will mail the check as soon as we receive written confirmation.
• What items do you take on consignment?
We specialize in handbags and accessories from top high-end designers. We are also looking for signed high-end fine and costume jewelry pieces from designers such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, David Yurman, Chanel, etc. We also take select clothing pieces such as dresses and jackets. •What is your consignment policy?
We consign items for 90 days, and the consignor nets between 50-70% of the selling price. There are periodic reductions during these three months. To learn more please take a look at our complete policy here
• When do I get paid for item(s) I consign?
Consignors are paid as items sell. Payment is made the first and third week of every month.
SHIPPING AND RETURNS
• Do you accept returns?
A Second Chance does not accept returns, all sales are Final. We guarantee the authenticity of everything that well sell and want to ensure that you are happy with what you buy from us so we welcome you to email or call us with any questions you may have regarding more detailed images or descriptions of our product.
• When will my order ship?
We do our best to ship as soon as possible and guarantee a 24 business hour turnaround once payment is received and confirmed (excluding weekends and holidays).
• What shipping method do you use?
All of our packages are shipped through Fed Ex. Shipments go out Monday-Friday, with the exception of expedited orders. Please note all shipments require signature confirmation. We insure all of our packages at full value and require signature to allow for the safest delivery possible.
• Do you ship outside the U.S.?
Yes we ship anywhere outside the US, for a flat fee of $75. International purchases must be made through bank wire transfer only. Please note that all international customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
We offer a full disclosure policy and do our best to clearly describe the condition of each item we list for sale. Please use the pictures and description as a guide and feel free to contact us if you still have questions or feel that some detail is missing.
Whether sold or consigned, our items come to us from individuals who have decided to part with them.
• Do I have to pay sales tax on my purchase?
We are required by law to charge sales tax on all orders shipped anywhere in New York state. Purchases made in store are also charged sales tax.
